Engine Management

The engine management light is one of several lights clustered together on your dashboard. It will light up when you turn the ignition on and should then switch itself off pretty much straight away. If it doesn’t go off, it’s possibly a sign that there is an issue somewhere in the engine so the safest thing to do is to get in touch with the team at The Garage. Remember, it doesn’t necessarily mean a big, expensive fix will be required – engine management lights can also signify trivial issues which can be remedied easily and won’t hurt your wallet either.

The light is connected to your car’s Engine Control Unit (ECU) and at our workshop in Sheffield, we use the latest software to download the error codes from the ECU which enable us to identify the source of the problem and to get your car back on the road for you as quickly as possible.

As members of the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI), at The Garage Sheffield, we are proud to comply with their strict code of practice ensuring exceptional quality, and fairly priced services for our customers.
